Mitragyna speciosa (commonly known as kratom) is a tropical, evergreen tree up to 30m tall with a trunk up to 1m in diameter native to Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Papua New Guinea), where it is used in traditional medicine for its medicinal and psychoactive effects.

Generally speaking, red kratom is soothing, good at suppressing pain and is a general sedative. Green kratom is more stimulating than red kratom, its effects are longer lasting, it brings clarity of mind and greater stamina – that’s why it is popular among athletes and people doing physically demanding work. Some users claim it helps them manage anxiety and depression. White kratom gives energy, lifts the mood – so it is the most stimulating. Yellow and Golden kratom do not indicate the colour of the veins, but rather refer to the drying technique. In its effects, yellow kratom can be classified somewhere between white and green, and golden kratom between green and red. You will experience a slight euphoria after using most types of kratom.
